We must listen to what they say
At home parents stand in the place of God whereas in the school, teacher stands in the place of my parents. The teacher is a parent because she gives me knowledge. She guides me in the right path. She tells me good things. She makes me play. She teaches arithmetic, science, moral science etc. she tells me stories.
We need to obey our teachers. We must listen to what they say. We will thus please them. This would also mean pleasing God. A teacher wanted to know the mind of her students. She asked her students what they would do for her. All the students expect Ram, promised to bring different things for her. Ram was a poor boy. He was the brightest and the most obedient student in the class. The teacher said that she liked Ram because he was a wonderful boy and did whatever the teacher asked him to do. She also told the other students to do their best in their studies and obey their teachers. Doing whatever the teacher asked is the best thing the students can do. These words of the teacher made Ram and the whole class happy. Today is my friend bobby’s birth day. We celebrated it in the class. We all sang `happy birthday’ to him. Bobby wanted to give all of us chocolates. He asked the teacher, `Madam, May I, please, give my friends chocolates?’ The teacher was very much pleased with Bobby’s politeness. She gave him permission to distribute the chocolates to his classmates. When Bobby gave us chocolates, we all said `thank you’ to him. The teacher told us that we are all well behaved, good and polite children. We say `please’ when we want to ask someone for something. We say `Thank you’ to respond to a favor done to us.
We say `sorry’ when we hurt somebody.
`Please,’ thank you’ and `sorry’ are three magic words which show that you are a polite child, you have good manners and you are well- behaved.
